چکیده
PURPOSE Oxidative stress and sperm DNA fragmentation (SDF) are potential contributing factors for idiopathic male infertility. Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) have been reported to be effective in the treatment of infertility, general, owing its antioxidant properties. Thus, present study intends investigate effects CoQ10 therapy on semen parameters, oxidative markers SDF infertile men, specifically with oligoasthenozoospermia (OA). MATERIALS AND METHODS In this case-control study, sixty-five patients OA forty fertile men (control) were included. All participants underwent analysis based World Health Organization guidelines (5th edition, 2010). Patients received at dose 200 mg/d orally three months. Seminal plasma CoQ10, total capacity (TAC), reactive oxygen species (ROS), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), levels measured controls (baseline) pre- post-CoQ10 treatment. RESULTS months significantly improved concentration (p<0.05), progressive motility (p<0.01), seminal fluid (p<0.001), TAC GPx (p<0.001) OA. Further, ROS level (p<0.05) percentage reduced as compared baseline. also correlated positively (r=0.48, p=0.01) (r=0.59, p=0.003) while a negative correlation was recorded between (r=-0.54, p=0.006). CONCLUSIONS supplementation could improve reduce

The effect of rhFSH on Sperm DNA Fragmentation and sperm parameters in Oligozoospermia Infertile Men
Background: One of the main causes of male infertility is the negative effects of oxidative stress. Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) plays an essential role in spermatogenesis, as well as in the maintenance of sperm DNA integrity. This study aimed to determine whether the recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (rhFSH) treatment of sperm parameters could positively affect sperm DNA and...

The present study to investigate that the correlation between sperm parameters and sperm DNA fragmentation in fertile and infertile cigarette smoking patient. Forty men undergoing infertility evaluation were divided into four groups according their smoking ability (A: 2 days ( n=10), B: 4 days ( n=10), C: 8 days ( n=10), D: 15 days ( n=10)) sperm parameters ( sperm concentration, pH, Viscosity,...
متن کاملCorrelation between sperm parameters and sperm DNA fragmentation in fertile and infertile men
Background: It is established that sperm DNA integrity is essential in fertilization and normal embryo and fetal development. Routine semen analysis gives an approximate evaluation of the functional competence of spermatozoa, but does not always reflect the quality of sperm DNA. Therefore, the evaluation of sperm DNA integrity, in addition to routine sperm parameters, could add further informat...

s:1993:"Background: There are many approaches that gene expression is controlled in eukaryotes. DNA methylation is one of several epigenetic mechanisms that cells use to control gene expression and lock genes in the "off" position. In addition, sperm DNA damage can correlate with DNA methylation defect. There is evidence that sperm of infertile men contain more DNA damage than fertile men and t...
